Elder

Simon and his wife Natalie founded the church in 2015, and Simon is one of the church elders. They have three boys and are a German-English bilingual family. They love to explore Europe by car, enjoy good food (Natalie is an excellent baker & cook), and like to throw garden parties (the garden is Simons passion!).

Dave is married to Tabea (whom he met at Hafenkirche - it was our first church wedding!) and they have a young son. They are both gifted musicians and jointly oversee our worship teams. In their spare time they enjoy reading, music, good food & wine and exploring new cities.

Jason and his wife Ali are both from the UK and were part of the original Hafenkirche core team. They have three young boys who keep them very busy! Jason loves all things Star Wars and Ali is a passionate cook and also oversees HafenKids.

Deacons

Alex & Esther also met at Hafenkirche (during the Sommerfest!), and are responsible for one of our Home Groups. They also help with many organisational aspects of the church. They enjoying a good spa weekend, fine wine and are great party hosts.

Natalie is originally from Frankfurt and met Simon whilst studying in London. She is a real Anglophile and loves all things quintessentially English! Natalie is responsible for the charity and finances and also runs our women’s breakfasts.

Tabea has a bakground in social work and now oversees Hafenküche - our free meal for all. She loves interior design and looking for bargains on the flea market.

Karen is originally from South Africa and was the first member of Hafenkirche and formed part of our original core team. Karen has a strong prophetic and strategic gift, and leads one of our Home Groups. She loves hiking, visiting far-flung relatives and a nice cup of tea!
