Hafenkirche e.V. Hygiene Concept (English) 2020

N.B. We are guided by the current measures of the state of Hesse.
  • Seating must currently be reserved in advance for each Hafenkirche event in Walter-Kolb-Straße. Due to size restrictions, we can only accommodate a certain number of people whilst respecting minimum distance guidance. This means that we will run two services (09:30 & 11:00) if bookings require. If bookings are low on any given week, and we can all fit in one service, we reserve the right to cancel one service and ask registered guests to join another service.
  • You must book your place through Eventbrite. If you change your mind, please cancel your ticket as early as possible so that someone else can get a seat. The Eventbrite booking also serves as a means of collecting contact details for all attendees, which we currently have to do. The related data will only be retained by Hafenkirche for four weeks, then we will delete the lists.
  • Children must also be registered in advance for the children's service and there will also be an upper limit. If the weather is good, we will try and go to the park, so please dress them accordingly. It is of course clear that children find it harder to adhere to the contact restrictions, so please be forgiving of each other. Children below the age of six do not have to wear a mask.
  • For our very youngest, who stay with mum and dad during the service and do not join the Kids Club, you will not need to reserve a space.
  • Those who are ill or do not feel well, unfortunately have to stay at home. We offer the respective sermons on Soundcloud the following week. You can also find our song lists on Spotify. Please let us know if we can pray for you or support you in any other way whilst you are not feeling well.
  • Please bring your mouth-nose protection (mask) and wear it at all times as soon as you enter the building. We have a small number of single use masks should you forget yours.
  • At the moment we have to refrain from physical contact e.g. for greeting each other (except within households). A friendly smile or wave must be enough at the moment in order to comply with the current regulations as a church. We ask for your understanding with this restriction.
  • A minimum distance of 1.5 metres between persons from different households must always be maintained. We will have to pay attention to this and would be grateful if you support us as much as possible.
  • When entering the room please disinfect your hands or wash them before entering.
  • Please remember to sneeze/cough into your elbow.
  • Walk-ways must be kept clear so that there is no congestion and the minimum distance can be maintained at all times. Please help us to maintain this requirement. Unfortunately, we only have one combined entrance and exit and therefore have to be mindful of each other.
  • At the entrance and in the room itself, the rules of distance and hygiene are displayed clearly.
  • For better ventilation of the rooms, the windows and doors will be opened as much as possible. Please therefore bring a pullover or something similar with you if the weather is cold!
  • The toilets should only be entered individually. Parents can of course accompany their child(ren).
  • Unfortunately, we cannot drink coffee and tea together at the moment, so please bring your own if required.
  • The collection box will be placed at the entrance.
  • Communion will be taken using the pre-packed cups, which are placed in a basket at the entrance of the main room.
  • If after a church service, it transpires that a person attended who was infected with Covid-19, we will immediately inform the Frankfurt health authority and all the participants of the service.
